Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pre-made pizza crust
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup shredded Gouda cheese
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Fresh rosemary for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended on the pizza crust packaging, usually around 425°F (220°C).
- Step 2: In a small bowl, mix the pumpkin puree with garlic powder and salt until well combined. This will be your pizza sauce.
- Step 3: Roll out the pre-made pizza crust onto a baking sheet or pizza stone, ensuring it's evenly spread.
- Step 4: Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly over the pizza crust, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Step 5: Sprinkle the shredded Gouda cheese generously over the pumpkin layer. Drizzle with olive oil for added flavor.
- Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown. Garnish with fresh rosemary if desired before serving.
Notes
- For optimal storage, keep any leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
- When reheating, pop slices back in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to restore crispiness, rather than using a microwave which can make the crust soggy.
- Consider serving your pumpkin Gouda pizza with a simple arugula salad tossed in lemon vinaigrette for a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors.
- For an extra burst of flavor, try adding a sprinkle of nutmeg or crushed red pepper flakes to the pumpkin mixture before spreading it on the crust.
