Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pistachios)
- 2 tablespoons raisins or dried cranberries
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla bean paste, and ground cinnamon. Stir until all the ingredients are well mixed.
- Step 2: Fold in the chopped nuts and dried fruit to the oat mixture for added texture and flavor.
- Step 3: Transfer the mixture into individual jars or containers with lids, dividing it evenly.
- Step 4: Cover each jar or container with a lid and refrigerate overnight (or at least for 4 hours) to allow the oats to absorb the liquid.
- Step 5: In the morning, give the oats a good stir and add extra toppings like more nuts, honey, or fresh fruit if desired before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- For optimal freshness, store your Baklava Overnight Oats in airtight containers in the refrigerator, where they can last up to 4-5 days.
- If you prefer a warm breakfast, gently reheat your oats in the microwave for about 30-60 seconds, adding a splash of milk if needed to maintain creaminess.
- Serve your oats topped with additional crushed nuts, a drizzle of honey, and perhaps some fresh fruit like banana or berries for an extra burst of flavor.
- For a unique twist, try experimenting with different nuts or dried fruits based on your preference; swapping in pistachios or dates can enhance that classic baklava flavor!
