Ingredients
Scale
- 12 slider buns
- 12 slices of deli turkey ham
- 12 slices of turkey or chicken
- 6 slices of Swiss cheese, halved
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla powder
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla bean paste until well combined.
- Step 3: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Layer each bottom half with a slice of turkey ham, a slice of turkey or chicken, and two halves of Swiss cheese. Place the top half of the buns on each slider.
- Step 4: Place the assembled sliders in the prepared baking dish. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sliders, ensuring they are all coated. Let them soak for about 10 minutes.
- Step 5: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the sliders are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the oven and dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired. Enjoy warm!
Notes
- For best results, store any leftover Monte Cristo sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When reheating, simply place them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes until warmed through, which helps maintain their crispy texture. Serve these sliders with a side of fresh fruit or a light salad for a delightful contrast to their rich flavors. For an extra touch of sweetness, consider adding a hint of cinnamon to the egg mixture before soaking the sliders; it complements the vanilla beautifully!
