Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 1/2 cup fresh cranberries (or dried if preferred)
- 1 orange, zested and juiced
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder
- Optional: Chopped nuts or seeds for topping
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, and orange juice. Stir until well mixed.
- Step 2: Add in the fresh cranberries, orange zest, honey (or maple syrup), cinnamon, and alcohol-free vanilla extract. Mix everything together until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Step 3: Transfer the mixture into a jar or container with a lid. Seal it tightly to prevent any leakage.
- Step 4: Refrigerate the overnight oats for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the oats to absorb the liquid and flavors.
- Step 5: In the morning, give the oats a good stir before serving. Top with additional cranberries, orange slices, and chopped nuts or seeds if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
- For optimal freshness, store your Orange Cranberry Overnight Oats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- If you prefer a warm breakfast, simply heat the oats in the microwave for about 30 seconds, stirring in between until they reach your desired temperature.
- For an extra burst of flavor and texture, serve your oats topped with additional fresh cranberries, a sprinkle of chopped nuts or seeds, and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
- To enhance the natural sweetness of the dish, consider using ripe oranges and adjusting the amount of honey or maple syrup based on your taste preference; fresh cranberries can be tart, so balancing flavors is key!
