Ingredients
Scale
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Step 2: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Step 4: Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Layer three lasagna noodles on top, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, then one-third of the remaining meat sauce. Repeat this process with another layer of noodles, ricotta mixture, and meat sauce.
- Step 5: Top with the final three lasagna noodles, the remaining meat sauce, and sprinkle with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Step 6: Allow the lasagna to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your delicious Stuffed Lasagna!
Notes
- For optimal freshness, store any leftover Stuffed Lasagna in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze it for longer storage. When reheating, cover the lasagna with foil to keep it moist and heat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20-25 minutes, or until heated through. For a delightful serving suggestion, pair your lasagna with a crisp green salad and a glass of grape juice to enhance the flavors of the dish. To elevate your dish, consider adding fresh herbs like basil or parsley to the ricotta mixture for an extra layer of flavor and freshness.
